American Electric Power is seeking an experienced Project Manager or senior PM to manage base to complex projects in a matrix environment. You will provide leadership, coordinate stakeholders, and drive safe, efficient project execution with a focus on delivering value and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout, with opportunities to advance in project management and adopt best practices across diverse facilities.

Qualifications

• Outage management, business/financial administration, major construction field experience
• Knowledge in construction safety, negotiations, scope development and control, cost estimating, construction contracting, project controls and reporting, and quality control would be beneficial
• Demonstrated leadership and project management competencies for progressive responsibility
• Willingness to travel up to ~25% and operate across multiple AEP locations

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate assigned project activities with leadership from the lead PM
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, tools and staff; lead planning meetings and status updates
• Communicate project details clearly to stakeholders and coordinate with internal/external customers, vendors, and contractors
• Coach team members in project management skills and ensure contracts and procurement activities meet requirements
• Support closeout processes and assess project success against objectives
