Job summary

American Electric Power seeks a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead complex EPC/CCGT projects in a matrix environment. You will plan, direct, and coordinate activities, ensure safety, and deliver on time and budget while maintaining stakeholder transparency.

You will communicate with customers, vendors, regulators, and teams, applying Waterfall/Agile methods and driving project excellence across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex, multi-project programs in a matrix environment.
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget with accountability.
• PM certification and advanced knowledge of PM bodies are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project activities with proficiency in Waterfall and Agile.
• Ensure safety and compliance with the AEP System Safety Process and Zero Harm focus.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, tools, and staffing; manage risk and reporting.
• Communicate clearly with internal/external customers, suppliers, and regulators; present updates.
