Job summary

Exelon is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead transmission, substation, distribution, gas and IT initiatives. You will manage scope, schedule and budget for complex programs, guiding teams to successful outcomes and coordinating with executives and cross‑functional stakeholders.

The role emphasizes independent judgment, proactive planning, and robust communication across internal and external partners, with stabilizing leadership during storms or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 4–7 years of project management experience, or high school diploma with 6–9 years of experience.
• CAPM certification or CAPM within two years of job entry (PMP also fulfills)
• Demonstrated success at managing projects and independent judgment in multi‑task environments.
• Ability to work independently and as a team leader with conflicting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and safety of projects and programs (25%).
• Manage costs and schedules, develop recovery plans to stay within approved limits (20%).
• Coordinate requirements with external and internal stakeholders (15%).
• Communicate with sponsor and stakeholders at executive levels (10%).
• Foster good working relationships among project team, line managers, and interfacing groups (10%).
• Coach and lead team members to complete tasks (10%).
• Identify and obtain project team resources (5%).
• Clarify responsibilities for team members (5%).
