Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Raleigh, North Carolina, is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the North America BESS business within Grid Integration.

The role is hybrid, relocation assistance is available, and you will guide large EPC projects from award to operation. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage finances, risk, and contract administration while engaging customers and stakeholders to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery in utility-scale and behind-the-meter energy storage

Qualifications

• Candidate must have work authorization to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management.
• 8+ years of experience managing large, multi-faceted electrical projects.
• Experience with different contractual models and strong financial and commercial skills.
• Proficient in SAP, MS Project, and Microsoft Office; strong communication and collaboration across multinational teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from contract award through operation, coordinating cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, scope, schedules, and resource plans.
• Own project financial performance including budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Lead risk and opportunity management and ensure contract compliance.
• Coordinate procurement strategies, subcontracting, bid evaluations, and awards.
• Act as primary customer contact and provide project reporting to promote satisfaction.
