Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in the United States is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large, multi-faceted EPC projects in the North America Battery Energy Storage Systems business.

Based in Raleigh, NC with a hybrid schedule and full relocation assistance for eligible candidates, you will manage from contract award through commercial operation, coordinating cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, PM, or Construction Management
• 8+ years of experience managing large, multi-faceted electrical projects including mega projects
• Experience with different contractual models
• Strong financial and commercial management skills
• Proficiency with SAP, MS Project, and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project execution plans, scope, schedules, resource plans, goals, and deliverables.
• Own project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, cash flow, margins, and project health tracking.
• Lead risk and opportunity management activities to support successful project outcomes.
• Manage project scope, changes, claims, negotiations, and approvals in accordance with contract requirements.
• Partner with Supply Chain teams on procurement strategies, subcontracting activities, bid evaluations, and awards.
• Serve as the primary customer contact and provide project reporting that promotes effective communication and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate project quality activities, address non-conformities, and support internal and external audits.
• Work closely with EHS teams to develop and enforce project-specific safety plans throughout project execution.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
