Job description

Our client, based in Cheshire, Connecticut, is a well-established, family-owned construction management and general contracting firm with decades of experience delivering high-quality projects across the state. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all phases of project management including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and closeout.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project teams, including Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Manage and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and submittals.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior staff.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including client presentations and proposal support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience, including large-scale or complex commercial, institutional, or healthcare projects.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-million-dollar projects from preconstruction to completion.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA certification and other relevant safety training preferred.
