Job summary

Southland Industries in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead large project teams and orchestrate multiple projects from planning to execution. You will drive client communication, strategy development, and revenue opportunities while overseeing budgets and change orders.

The role requires extensive leadership, public speaking, and proficiency with CADD/ERP/Microsoft Office; a four-year engineering degree and 12+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience.
• Minimum 12 years’ experience, including minimum 5 years’ people management experience.
• Mastery knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as all design engineering aspects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communication with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Proven ability to lead a large team.
• Strong public speaking ability.
• Strong computer skills, including CADD, ERP and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provides project status updates to client and leadership.
• Maintains solid client relationships and continuously sources opportunities for revenue.
• Develops and implements strategies.
• Manages budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for project.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments.
• Delegates work and serves as mentor to project team. Provides coaching and performance feedback as necessary.
