Job summary

Sedgman is seeking a Project Estimator to drive estimating activities across complex engineering studies and projects. This role can be based in Phoenix, Vancouver or Montreal, offering exposure to North American mining projects.

You will prepare cost estimates, lead collaboration with engineers and stakeholders, maintain estimating databases, and track estimating activities. The position requires 10+ years of mining/engineering estimating experience and mastery of risk assessment tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years estimating experience in mining/engineering/construction.
• Experience with AACE Class 1–5 estimates.
• Proficiency with risk tools like @Risk.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills and multi-project coordination.
• Ability to collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for studies and projects.
• Lead and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders on estimates and risk.
• Maintain estimating systems, databases, and templates.
• Track, report, and manage estimating activities.
• Develop price books, spreadsheets, and cost records.
• Continuously improve estimating risk management processes.
