Connectly Recruiting is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a major Los Angeles transportation infrastructure program. You will work with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and leadership team on project controls, cost tracking, change management, and closeout, ensuring documentation and compliance with plans and contract requirements.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in heavy civil, rail, or electrical infrastructure, with strong cost analysis, procurement coordination, and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Experience on large, complex construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Experience with cost tracking, change management, and financial reporting.
• Analyze labor costs, quantities, and production.
• Strong project controls and contract administration knowledge.
• Manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Collaborate with PMs, Superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, owners, and field personnel.

Responsabilités

• Support PM and Superintendent in executing large transportation projects.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, subcontracts, and requirements.
• Track change proposals, change orders, and payments.
• Assist with scope changes and documentation for compensation.
• Monitor costs and produce cost/production reports.
• Forecast costs and provide financial reporting.
• Analyze labor costs, quantities, and production.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, and drawing revisions.
• Ensure compliance with plans, codes, standards, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, owners, and field personnel.
• Support project closeout and documentation.
