Job summary

Markent Personnel in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Project Engineer to support a major transportation and mass transit infrastructure project. You will work with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and leadership team on project controls, change management, cost tracking, and contract administration.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in heavy civil, rail, transit, or infrastructure projects with strong cost and documentation skills, and experience with electrical infrastructure and traffic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Experience with cost tracking, change management, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in the execution of large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, and project requirements.
• Track, prepare, review, and process Change Orders, Change Proposal Requests, Owner Pay Applications, and Claims Documentation.
• Assist with identifying changes in project scope and developing supporting documentation for additional compensation and/or schedule impacts.
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate cost and production reports.
• Assist project leadership with cost forecasting and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with field operations to verify installed quantities and completed work.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, and other technical documentation.
