Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a leading renewable energy company in Houston, TX. The role provides technical leadership for utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects and serves as the engineering liaison between internal teams, contractors, equipment suppliers, and consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
• 12+ years of experience with utility-scale solar, wind, and/or battery energy storage projects.
• Strong understanding of power systems, interconnection requirements, and industry standards.
• Experience with power system modeling tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, PSSE, or similar.
• PE license preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering coordination from development through commissioning and project turnover.
• Manage technical interfaces between EPCs, vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Review designs, specifications, studies, and engineering deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Support procurement activities, including RFPs, technical evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering efforts and resolve technical issues during construction and commissioning.
• Monitor engineering progress, risks, schedules, and project documentation.
