Job summary

Entergy in The Woodlands, Texas is seeking an Engineer I - Sr Lead (Renewable) to lead projects across solar PV, battery storage, and uprates. You will translate requirements into executable plans, coordinate internal and external partners, and ensure safety, reliability, schedule, budget, and quality.

The role progresses from Engineer I to Senior Lead Engineer based on experience, with onsite work and travel 25–50%.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited engineering degree or related science with equivalent experience in power/plant operations.
0–2 years for Engineer I; 2–3 for Engineer II; higher levels for Sr roles; progressive responsibility.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
Ability to manage safety, reliability, schedule, and budget in project settings.

Responsibilities

Lead with safety and compliance to meet regulatory requirements and Entergy guidelines.
Develop and control technical specifications and design documentation; manage changes.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to align requirements and execution.
Provide technical oversight of EPC contractors, OEMs, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
Support vendor evaluations, review proposals, and perform cost/benefit analyses to select fit-for-purpose solutions.
Own RFIs and contract scope changes with timely, documented decisions.
Monitor schedule, cost, and quality; identify risks and implement solutions.
Conduct site visits and constructability reviews; support commissioning and startup.
