Job summary

American Electric Power seeks an experienced Project Engineer (Senior/Principal) to lead complex generation projects from concept to commissioning. Based onsite in Columbus, OH or Moundsville, WV, you will coordinate internal teams, external partners, and regulators to deliver safe, reliable power assets on schedule and within budget.

You will drive engineering design reviews, RFIs, and field support, mentoring engineers and guiding cross-disciplinary work.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• PE license encouraged and preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering with ABET accreditation and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities for generation capital projects.
• Schedule and lead engineering meetings with stakeholders.
• Coordinate design efforts with internal and external partners.
• Provide regular progress updates to project teams.
• Travel as needed to AEP generation facilities.
