Job summary

The Project Engineer at AEP Service Corporation will serve as the engineering lead for complex generation projects, guiding conceptual and detailed design, procurement, and construction support across internal teams and external partners. This onsite role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage multi‑discipline efforts to deliver safe, cost‑effective power assets.

Open to candidates in Columbus, OH or Moundsville, WV, with 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program with 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering work and coordinate with vendors and regulators.
• PE license encouraged; strong communication and problem solving required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities among AEP, developers, A/E and OEMs for capital projects.
• Schedule and lead engineering meetings; provide progress updates to stakeholders.
• Develop and manage the Engineering Work Plan and respond to RFIs.
• Travel up to 25% outside Ohio during construction phase.
