Job summary

AEP is seeking a Project Engineer to serve as the engineering lead for complex generation projects, overseeing the full lifecycle from concept through commissioning. You will coordinate across internal teams, consultants, OEMs, and EPC contractors to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of utility-scale assets.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in engineering plus 2+ years of related engineering experience.
• Master's degree is preferred or required for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Engineering Work Plan.
• Lead the Engineering Design Review process and respond to RFIs.
• Coordinate design with internal teams and external partners.
• Provide support during construction and facilitate project closeout.
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
• Travel to AEP facilities as needed.
