Job summary

The Project Engineer at American Electric Power (AEP) serves as the engineering lead for complex, multi-disciplinary generation projects, spanning the full lifecycle from conceptual design through commissioning. You will coordinate internal teams and external partners to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective power assets.

Responsibilities include developing engineering work plans, leading design reviews, and providing progress updates to the project team and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in engineering plus 2+ years of related experience.
• Master's degree in engineering preferred.
• Engineer SG7 level with growth potential

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Engineering Work Plan.
• Lead Engineering Design Review and respond to RFIs.
• Coordinate design efforts with internal and external partners.
• Provide support during construction and facilitate project closeout.
• Provide regular updates on engineering progress to stakeholders.
• Travel to AEP generation facilities as needed.
