Job summary

Sundt Construction seeks a Senior Project Engineer to serve as the technical source for project information, with in-depth knowledge of construction documents, subcontracts and purchase orders. You will respond to questions on drawings, specs, shop drawings and change orders, and may train Field Engineers.

This role is 100% on-site with no remote option, requiring extensive experience on large power projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards.
• Four-year degree or equivalent technical training with 3–4 years of similar experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to supervise a team.
• Must have large power project experience.

Responsibilities

• Understands project management plan components and change management process.
• Develops procurement and CPM schedules; coordinates submittals.
• Manages prime contracts, subcontracts, and budget controls to stay within budget.
• Maintains As-built documents; compiles close-out manuals and warranties.
• Participates in concrete form design and takeoffs for major works.
• Leads project team development and oversight to ensure execution.
• Prepares and maintains quantity reporting; records meeting minutes and logs.
• Prepares and reviews change orders and logs; communicates with owners and contractors.
