Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation seeks a Project Engineer III to lead engineering design of material handling systems. The role combines mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, controls, software, and project management to deliver safe, functional, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for clients.

The team collaborates across disciplines to ensure equipment fits within system constraints. Travel up to 20% to inspect sites, measure facilities, and interface with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline; mechanical or industrial preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
• Minimum of 6 years of material handling related experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks; proficiency in MS Office and project tools.

Responsibilities

• Designing and enhancing conveyor systems and automated material handling solutions.
• Reviewing designs for engineering principles, standards, and customer requirements.
• Coordinating activities related to technical development, scheduling, and problem resolution.
• Preparing and reviewing drawings using AutoCAD; issuing purchase orders after quotes.
• Monitoring project schedule, engineering time, and material costs; interfacing with vendors and customers.
• Traveling up to 20% to meet customers and measure sites.
