Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop new material handling products, including conveyors, sortation, automated storage, and robotic systems. You will draft specifications, layout drawings, and PLC logic while collaborating with the team to meet product requirements.

Expect travel up to 40% across North America. The role calls for a 2+ year background in electrical engineering, experience with sortation or robotics, and proficiency with Allen-Bradley tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Experience with sortation and conveyance equipment or robotics design.
• Experience with Allen Bradley control software and tools.
• Knowledge of electrical and safety codes including risk assessments.
• Knowledge of industrial automation systems (HMI/SCADA).
• Knowledge of controls/PLCs.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% in North America.

Responsibilities

• Concept, design, develop and engineer products that add value and meet market needs.
• Collaborate with development team to create new products.
• Ensure products fit with current and future manufacturing operations.
• Ensure products meet performance and cost targets.
• Specify and develop a sequence of operations for automated equipment.
• Prepare schematics and specifications for control panel fabrication.
• Develop PLC programs.
• Maintain product development schedules and cost estimates.
• Follow engineering standards and version control.
• Perform prototype development and testing.
• Conduct on-site beta testing to verify safety and reliability.
• Investigate product issues and determine root causes.
