Job summary

Celanese seeks a Senior Project Engineer to drive capital and expense improvement initiatives at the Clear Lake Plant in Pasadena, Texas. You will shepherd projects from scoping through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover to the owning facility, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to meet safety, budget and schedule targets.

The role requires a BS in engineering and at least 8 years of industrial project experience, with strong communication, planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 8 years of project engineering/management in industrial settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to all organizational levels.
• Strong time management, collaborative approach, and vendor relationship skills.
• Good knowledge of procurement processes and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly project cost forecasting and annual capital plan development.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to update capital plans as needed.
• Manage execution of the annual capital plan per cost and schedule expectations.
• Lead development of project scope, cost estimates and economic justification.
• Oversee design, procurement, contracting, execution, commissioning and turnover.
