Job summary

Celanese is seeking a Principal Engineer, Major Capital Projects to lead high-impact capital investments across our manufacturing network in the United States. You will drive projects from concept to startup, ensuring safety, quality, and value delivery across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years in engineering, PM, capital projects or related industrial environments.
• Experience leading major capital projects from $2M to $50M USD.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring scope, cost, and schedule adherence.
• Serve as overall project leader for safety, quality, and performance.
• Develop execution strategies, resource plans, and contracting approaches.
• Manage interfaces with engineering, operations, procurement, construction, and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with Celanese standards and environmental requirements.
