Job summary

Celanese seeks a Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Projects – CapEx to lead capital and expense improvement initiatives at the Pensacola Specialty Elastomers Plant in Florida. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills to all levels of the organization and vendors.
• Strong time management and collaborative skills with ability to build relationships.
• Good working knowledge of procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly project cost forecasting and annual capital plan development.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to update capital plans as needed.
• Manage execution of the annual capital plan per cost and schedule expectations.
• Lead development of project scope, cost estimate, and economic justification to support appropriation requests for assigned projects.
• Manage design, procurement, contracting, execution, commissioning, and turnover activities to ensure successful implementation of assigned projects.
• Apply proven technology and best practices to improve safety, quality, process and cost of manufacturing products.
• Identify need for outside resources and engage them to support project implementation.
• Coordinate and communicate with internal and external resources during design and execution.
• Ensure all project activities comply with PM procedures and engineering standards; meet statutory requirements.
• Interact with all levels of the organization and maintain relationships with Procurement, Operations, and Maintenance.
• Responsible for safety performance of all personnel involved in projects.
• Provide leadership for compliance with management of change guidelines.
