Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams (systems, mechanical, electrical, software) that design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for global operations, service and external customers.

You will own project execution from inception to deployment, manage scope, schedules, and budgets using EV data, ensure quality, and craft winning proposals. The role is onsite and reports to the CTSE Engineering Manager with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with 5+ years experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Prior project leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead project technical execution and maintain performance metrics for decision making and continuous improvement.
• Manage project scope (requirements and change requests) ensuring it meets agreed to commitments.
• Generate and maintain project schedules with understood dependencies, deliveries, and critical path.
• Utilize Earned Value (EV) methods for managing project budget (and schedule).
• Ensure project meets quality expectations.
• Identify risks and opportunities and resolve them through proactive ownership.
• Prepare well-crafted presentations reporting project status to leadership teams.
• Develop Engineering estimates and proposals for potential projects and gaining organizational buy-in.
