Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Test Systems Technician to support, repair, and maintain a wide range of electrical and electro-mechanical test equipment at our Cheshire, CT facility. This onsite role emphasizes problem-solving, leadership, and reliability in a high-tech aerospace environment.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of hands-on experience, strong schematics skills, and proficiency with common test instruments and MS Office for reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree with 8+ years relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with electronic and electro-mechanical test systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of electronic test equipment and using schematics.
• Experience identifying root causes down to component level.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting, documentation, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and preventive maintenance on electrical/electro-mechanical test systems.
• Fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide array of test equipment.
• Diagnose with oscilloscopes, multimeters, generators; isolate faults to component level.
• Identify parts, source components, and validate corrections with testing.
• Develop and refine maintenance procedures and workflows.
• Configure and operate test stations per specs to ensure uptime.
