Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Design Manager to lead a design team, drive workplace strategy, and manage projects from concept through construction. This role supports assigned accounts with design leadership, standards enforcement, and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Qualified candidates will have a relevant degree, 4+ years of professional design experience, and 4+ years of Revit experience, plus strong communication and independent work capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a CIDA or NAAB accredited institution is required.
• 4+ years of professional design experience.
• 4+ years of Revit experience in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in architectural drawings, concepts and design.
• Excellent time management, communication, collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to lead a team and delegate work to enable independent work.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
• Understand, document and confirm client goals, space needs and budgets.
• Data collection through programming, surveys and benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of design professionals from initial sketch through construction.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, standards, and resource allocation.
• Support Project Designers in quality review of design deliverables.
• Communicate new processes and design standards within documentation.
• Review space plans and concepts for safety, function and code compliance.
• Select and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment and millwork to meet client requirements.
• Provide ongoing training on space planning and FF&E services.
• Develop client workplace standards and pursue improvements.
• Contribute knowledge of interior environments including materials, finishes, lighting, acoustics and ergonomics.
• Work independently or with minimal oversight on conceptual to construction documentation.
• Oversee third-party relationships with architects/engineers.
