Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Design Manager to lead a design team in delivering workplace projects on hybrid or remote arrangements. The role emphasizes guiding design from concept through construction, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring code‑compliant, high‑quality FF&E and space planning outcomes.

You will mentor designers, coordinate with clients and partners, and drive process improvements to meet client goals and standards within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an NAAB/CIDA accredited program in Architecture or Interior Design.
• 4+ years professional design experience.
• 4+ years Revit experience in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in architectural drawings, concepts and design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of design professionals from concept to construction.
• Develop and manage timelines, budgets, standards and resources.
• Support design deliverables through quality reviews.
• Communicate new processes and design standards across the team.
• Review space plans and concepts for safety, function and code compliance.
• Oversee furniture, fixtures, equipment and millwork specifications.
• Provide ongoing training on space planning and FF&E services.
• Build client workplace standards and pursue improvements.
• Collaborate on interior environment with materials, finishes, lighting, acoustics and ergonomics.
• Work independently or with minimal oversight on design phases.
• Direct third-party relationships with architects and engineers.
• Share FF&E vendor knowledge with the team.
