Aston Carter in Charles City, IA seeks a Senior Project & Cost Accountant to join the finance team. You will manage project job costing and standard product costing, ensuring GAAP compliance and ASC 606 revenue/cost recognition for manufacturing operations.

Your responsibilities include month-end close for Production & Project systems, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly COGS/profitability forecasts. Collaboration across departments and adherence to policy complete the role.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Masters/CPA/CMA preferred.
• 5+ years accounting experience.
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience preferred.
• GAAP knowledge and internal controls.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain production costing and project job costing systems per GAAP and Cambrex policies.
• Record revenue and costs for custom projects under ASC 606 accounting guidance.
• Month-end close of Production & Project Systems; prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
• Provide monthly updates to projected COGS and profitability for forecasting.
• Collaborate with departments to develop cost and profit estimates for new projects.
• Identify opportunities to increase margins and capture savings opportunities.
• Prepare and analyze routine and ad hoc management reports.
• Assist with audits, tax reporting and corporate requests.
• Develop activity rates and standard costs for annual budgeting.
• Monitor cost center budgets and monthly forecasts; ensure policy compliance.
• Support Operational Excellence initiatives within accounting processes.
