Job summary

Aston Carter seeks a Senior Cost Accountant to lead standard costing across multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring accurate labor, material, and overhead cost roll-ups. You will support corporate cost accounting initiatives, analyze variances, and partner with plant finance on inventory valuation and cycle counts.

The role also consolidates cost data for corporate reporting and identifies cost reduction opportunities through benchmarking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 2+ years of standard costing experience.
• 2+ years of cost analysis experience.
• 2+ years of experience managing and tracking inventory.
• Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, SyteLine, Workday, SAGE, or Microsoft Dynamics).
• Proficiency in Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and INDEX MATCH.
• Experience with Power BI is a plus.

• Lead standard costing processes across multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy in labor, material, and overhead cost roll-ups.
• Support corporate cost accounting initiatives and audits.
• Analyze and report manufacturing variances.
• Partner with plant finance and operations on inventory valuation and cycle counts.
• Consolidate cost data for corporate reporting.
• Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities via data analysis.
• Travel to manufacturing sites as needed and assist with ad hoc projects.
