Job summary

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to support Project Managers and Directors in Railroad and Ferry Operations. You will manage capital project administration from inception through construction, with a focus on schedules, budgets, and reporting.

You will prepare correspondence, charts, and presentations, coordinate tasks with multiple departments, and assist with complex stakeholder coordination including outside agencies and community

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Four years of experience in project administration or coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, databases, and PowerPoint.
• Effective professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, confidentiality, multi-tasking, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Provide program-level reporting and assistance on multiple projects that roll up to a program.
• Prepare project-related correspondence, reports, charts, and presentations using Word, Excel, databases and PowerPoint.
• Coordinate project tasks with Contract Administration, Procurement, Project Controls, Field Services and other staff.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Environmental, Safety and otherOperational departments as required.
• Assist in coordinating complex projects with outside agencies, abutters, utilities, and community groups.
• Support Project Managers in addressing tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
• Follow up on assigned actions and seek guidance as needed.
• Respond to inquiries from customers, vendors or staff professionally.
• Adhere to MBTA policies, directives and EEO/anti-harassment rules.
• Attend off-site meetings as necessary and perform other duties.
