Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced project controls professional to plan, schedule, cost control and estimate heavy industrial projects. You will build schedules, forecast construction activities and manage change notices to keep projects on track.

The role requires 5+ years in planning, scheduling and estimating with strong skills in Primavera P6, MS Project and Timberline Estimating, plus excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Construction Science, Building Science or advanced coursework is highly preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software and Timberline Estimating software.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules and analysis for contract packages to forecast construction activities and identify coordination issues where safety and schedule can potentially be in conflict.
• Monitor and update schedules by obtaining updates through meetings, construction coordination interviews and field verification.
• Monitor and maintaining the change notice/change order management system.
• Assist in facilitating weekly change notice hearings and change committee meetings.
• Develop estimates for construction projects including but not limited to estimates associated with change notices.
• Develop and maintain the cost system including reconciling commitments, change orders, contractor invoices and producing cost reports.
