Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors in Mobile, AL seeks an experienced Project Controls Specialist to lead planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating for heavy industrial projects. You will develop construction schedules, monitor costs, and manage change notices while coordinating with diverse engineering disciplines.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of relevant experience, a degree in Construction Science or Building Science, and PMI/AACE certification.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field preferred.
• AACE/PMI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules and estimates for construction projects including change notices.
• Monitor earned value, productivity and project costs.
• Maintain change notice/change order management system and related processes.
• Assist in facilitating weekly change notice hearings and committee meetings.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines and contractors to align schedules, scopes of work and costs.
