Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to plan, schedule, cost-control and estimate for heavy industrial projects in our Angleton area office. You will develop schedules, monitor progress, and manage change notices with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, strong ERP and scheduling tool proficiency (Primavera P6, MS Project, Timberline), and a solid grasp of cost reporting and constructability considerations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• AACE International or PMI certification is preferred.
• 10+ years of planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of project controls and construction processes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules and analyses for contract packages to forecast construction activities.
• Update schedules through meetings and field verification.
• Understand Earned Value and Project Productivity.
• Maintain change notice/change order management system and assist hearings.
• Develop cost estimates for construction projects including change notices.
• Maintain cost system, reconciling commitments, change orders, and invoices.
• Develop and update project schedules; establish a progressive system.
• Assist clients and teammates with constructability logistics and safety.
• Assist in quantity analysis for activities and estimating purposes.
