Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the United States. You will develop and maintain moderately to highly complex schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, analyze variances, and support risk and forecasting processes.

Collaborate with project teams and management to ensure Earned Value Management, implement financial controls, and prepare client and internal reports. Travel 20%–40% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements as required.
• Maintains integrated critical path schedules for major projects or portfolios.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses findings with project managers.
• Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff and may supervise junior engineers.
