Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the U.S. You will develop schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, identify variances, and assist in root cause analysis.

The role maintains risk reserves, communicates through standardized reports, and supports financial controls and forecasting while collaborating with project teams and management; safety is a priority. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; related experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of related experience in project controls or similar field.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required by projects.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain time-phased schedule and cost baselines for projects of moderate to high complexity.
• Collect monthly data, analyze variances, and support root-cause analysis.
• Ensure risk reserves are integrated into forecasts and reports for stakeholders.
• Support implementation of financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques.
• Collaborate with project teams and management at multiple levels while adhering to safety protocols.
