Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the United States. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, analyze variances, and assist with root-cause analysis while maintaining risk reserves in forecasts.

You will collaborate with project teams and management to implement financial controls, forecasting techniques, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and related experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Extensive experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost/schedule analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validate costs and update requirements.
• Generate and analyze earned value reports and discuss observations with the project manager.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and federal/government regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and supervise juniors when needed.
• Develop project planning considerations and maintain integrated critical path schedules for major projects.
