Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to provide enterprise leadership for project controls across a large portfolio. This role drives governance, systems, analytics, and talent to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with integrated design-build, alternative delivery, and digital transformation, including modernizing platforms, workflows, and AI-enabled forecasting. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 15+ years of related experience.
• PMP or PgM certification required.
• Experience with integrated design-build and water/federal projects.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise project controls strategy, standards, methodologies, and governance.
• Establish controls for design-build, progressive design-build, CMAR, and other delivery models; align design, procurement, cost, schedule, risk, and commercial controls.
• Strengthen budgeting, earned value management, forecasting, variance analysis, and scheduling.
• Develop leading indicators, project health reviews, dashboards, and actionable insights for margin, backlog, cash flow, and delivery risk.
• Lead modernization of project controls platforms, data and workflows; champion automation and AI-enabled forecasting.
• Establish scalable document controls and information governance across projects.
