Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead the enterprise project controls function across a portfolio of municipal, industrial, and federal projects. You will drive governance, systems, analytics, and talent to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

The role requires deep experience in integrated design-build, digital transformation, and a broad set of controls including cost, schedule, risk, and documentation across a large, distributed organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 15+ years related experience preferred.
• PMP or PgM certification required.
• Experience with integrated design-build and enterprise project controls.

Responsibilities

• Define the enterprise project controls strategy, standards, methodologies, and governance model.
• Establish project controls approaches for design-build, progressive design-build, CMAR, and other delivery models.
• Strengthen budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and change management across the portfolio.
• Develop leading indicators and dashboards for margin, backlog, cash flow, and risk.
• Lead modernization of project controls platforms, data, and workflows.
• Establish scalable document management, records, and collaboration standards.
• Collaborate with executives across functions to improve predictability and profitability.
• Develop talent through career paths, training, and succession planning.
