CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead our enterprise project controls across a large portfolio. This role drives governance, platforms, and predictive insights to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

The ideal candidate has deep leadership in integrated design-build, strong cost/schedule controls, and a track record of digital transformation across enterprise systems. Travel and hybrid work are expected.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of project controls for large, complex integrated design build portfolios, programs, or enterprise initiatives.
• Experience supporting integrated design-build and other delivery models, with connection of design and construction through controls.
• Proven success in digital transformation involving enterprise platforms, data, workflows, dashboards, analytics, or AI-enabled capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of cost engineering, scheduling, forecasting, earned value management, risk management, and document controls.
• Strong business and financial acumen for executive-level decision support.
• Ability to influence change across a large matrixed organization with stakeholders.
• Proven success in developing talent and building high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define the enterprise project controls strategy, standards, methodologies, and governance model.
• Establish approaches for design-build and other delivery models; align cost, schedule, risk and commercial controls.
• Strengthen budgeting, earned value, forecasting, variance analysis, and scheduling.
• Develop leading indicators, dashboards, and actionable insights on margin, cash flow and risk.
• Lead modernization of project controls platforms, data, and workflows; promote AI-enabled forecasting.
• Establish scalable standards for document management and data quality.
• Collaborate with leadership, operations, finance, legal, and delivery teams to improve outcomes.
• Build and mentor a distributed team of schedulers, cost controllers, and document controllers.
