Hudbay Minerals is seeking a Senior Project Controls Lead to oversee all project controls for the Cactus Mine project in Arizona. You will drive cost engineering, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management across pre-feasibility to commissioning stages, leading internal and EPCM teams.

You will ensure robust controls systems, reporting, and governance aligned with Hudbay standards, while collaborating with procurement and finance to optimize CAPEX forecasts and contingency planning.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10 to 15 years of progressive project controls, cost engineering, and scheduling experience in major capital projects within mining, heavy industrial, or EPCM sectors; at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• AACE CCP/EVP/PSP or PMI PMP certification is highly preferred.

Mansioni

• Lead the strategy, setup, implementation, and governance of the project controls framework, systems, processes, and tools across all Cactus Mine project packages.
• Oversee the master project schedule (Primavera P6), baseline budget, WBS, and CBS.
• Establish and enforce project cost engineering processes including EV, EAC, and cash flow forecasting.
• Manage change (MOC) processes for scope changes, trend notices, and variation requests.
• Lead project cost reporting, dashboards, and board-level summaries.
• Oversee EPCM and third-party project controls teams for Hudbay standards and reporting.
• Collaborate with procurement to monitor commitments, invoicing, and contingencies.
• Facilitate QSRA/QCRA for contingency adequacy and ERM reviews.
• Coordinate with finance to align CAPEX forecasts and tollgate deliverables.
