Job summary

Hudbay Minerals U.S. Business Unit is seeking a Project Analyst to support the Cactus Mine Project in Casa Grande. The role provides project controls, cost tracking, schedule monitoring, and analytical support, reporting to the Head of Cactus Project.

You will work with EPCM teams to maintain cost models and ensure governance compliance. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in project controls and a strong grasp of scheduling tools (P6, MS Project) and financial software (SAP, Excel).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project controls, financial analysis, cost engineering, or project management support in mining, heavy civil, industrial construction, or major capital projects.
• PMI CAPM or PMP certification, or AACE CCP/EVP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze, and report on project budgets, commitments, actual costs, and forecasts across all Cactus Mine project packages.
• Perform detailed cost variance analysis and progress monitoring against baselines and KPIs.
• Coordinate month-end closings, WIP accruals, and invoice reconciliations with finance.
