Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the U.S. The role focuses on developing cost and schedule baselines, collecting data, and performing analyses to drive accurate forecasts.

You will work with project teams to maintain risk reserves, implement financial controls, and deliver insightful reports to stakeholders. This position may require travel and collaboration across international projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency depends on workload and duties.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports; discusses with project manager.
• Performs portfolio analysis and reviews findings with portfolio managers on delivery metrics.
• Supports implementation of financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques.
• Mentors junior staff and provides guidance on project controls practices.
