Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr Project Controls Professional for an ongoing site-based assignment with travel across the U.S. The role focuses on cost control, progress tracking, and reporting within a dedicated project controls team.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in EVMS, cost management, and collaboration with construction teams and vendors to ensure accurate forecasting and data integrity throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of experience in project controls with focus on cost management and field operations.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and pay application processes.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel for on-site assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup, monitoring, and forecasting of project cost and progress metrics.
• Manage all cost control elements: budget development/updates, scope change tracking, expenditure and forecast reporting.
• Maintain accurate data in cost control systems and tools.
• Analyze revenue and cost performance and recommend corrective actions to project and construction managers.
• Review and approve contractor pay applications in line with contracts.
• Track and report construction progress using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Coordinate with contractors to collect and upload weekly progress data into project systems.
