Job summary

Accenture is seeking a seasoned Project Controls Manager for onsite work with clients in the US. You will lead cost, schedule, scope, and risk controls, guide project controls specialists, and align with PM standards to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of large capital projects in the utility/generation sector.

You will mentor teams, drive risk analyses, and support portfolio reporting while promoting safe practices and client collaboration across offices and field sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management or 8 years related experience in lieu of a degree.
• 6+ years capital project controls experience on large utility generation or process-industry projects.
• Ability to perform field walkdowns and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Expert-level scheduling analytics, Excel-based analytics, and project controls fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight, coaching, and support to Project Controls Specialists throughout the project lifecycle.
• Integrate with the Project Management team to ensure successful project execution.
• Promote safe behavior and enforce safety rules on the project.
• Implement PM standards in cost, schedule, scope, WBS, risk, and issues management.
• Ensure comprehensive project controls including cost, schedule, scope, and risk.
• Perform independent project assessments for Stage Gate Process compliance.
• Train on client SGP, PM standards, and QRA for project controls disciplines.
• Assist in portfolio analysis, risk assessments, and multi-year budget alignment.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and conduct contingency analyses.
