Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects in the United States seeks a senior project controls leader to drive governance, cost, schedule, risk, change control, and reporting for pharmaceutical and biotechnology capital programs onsite with clients.

You will build and mentor high-performing project controls teams, deliver executive insights and decision support, and establish integrated controls frameworks across the full lifecycle from front-end planning to handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Finance, Business or related discipline (advanced degree preferred).
• 15+ years of progressive capital-project experience with deep project controls expertise in pharma/biotech or regulated manufacturing.
• Experience leading project controls on large, multi-contractor programs with investments in hundreds of millions or more.
• At least 7 years leading project controls professionals and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls delivery for pharmaceutical/biotechnology capital programs, driving governance, strategy, cost, schedule, risk, change, and reporting.
• Build, develop, and mentor project controls teams including cost managers, estimators, schedulers, risk specialists, change managers, and reporting analysts.
• Serve as trusted advisor to clients and project leadership, translating data into executive insights, recommendations, and decision support.
• Establish and maintain integrated project controls frameworks, standards, procedures, KPIs, reporting cycles, baselines, and assurance processes.
• Oversee project financial performance including estimating, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, contingency management, and EAC projections.
• Lead integrated schedule management across full project lifecycle with schedule integrity and risk-informed planning.
• Direct risk, opportunity, and change management processes with clear governance and mitigation.
• Provide proactive performance management through forecasting, variance analysis, EV, dashboards, and governance reporting.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve project integration and delivery outcomes.
• Support growth through client relationships, proposals, recruitment, training, and continuous improvement in project controls.
