Job summary

Delmarva Power & Light Co. is seeking an experienced estimator to prepare detailed bottoms-up cost estimates for Substation, Transmission, Distribution and Gas projects.

You will work with project teams to refine estimates based on field walk downs and documented assumptions, supporting short- and long-range planning. The role requires 4–7 years of estimating experience (or 6–9 years without a degree) and a solid background in Excel, estimating tools, and SAP/Asset Suite environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, financial or technical field.
• 4-7 years relevant estimating experience or 6-9 years in lieu of degree.
• Ability to build high- or low-level estimates from designs or scopes.
• Ability to interface with all management levels and facilitate meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop phase 1, 2 and 3 cost estimates in WBS format with assumptions.
• Conduct forecasting, variance analysis and KPI tracking and reporting.
• Develop unit cost and parametric estimates; update values with current trends.
• Update estimates with phase approvals and perform peer reviews of estimates.
• Facilitate estimate challenges with stakeholders to drive critical feedback.
