Job summary

Exelon is seeking a skilled Estimator to develop phase 1–3 project cost estimates for utility projects, including substations, transmission, and gas. You will model costs, maintain cost databases, and support budgeting and long-term planning.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and several years of estimating experience, with strong Excel, SAP planning, and project management skills. Occasional extended hours for storms or emergencies may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Financial or Technical Field required.
• 4-7 years relevant estimating experience or 6-9 years if no bachelor's degree.
• Ability to build high-level or detailed estimates from diagrams or scope of work.
• Strong interfacing with all management levels and facilitating meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop Phase 1–3 estimates in WBS format with documented assumptions.
• Perform forecasting, variance analysis and KPI tracking.
• Update unit costs and maintain estimating databases.
• Lead estimate peer reviews and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure clear understanding of estimates.
