Job summary

Ghafari Associates, LLC seeks a Senior Project Architect to lead complex design teams and deliver construction documents with high quality. You’ll coordinate disciplines, manage schedule and budget, and mentor staff while ensuring adherence to company standards and BIM best practices.

The role requires licensure and a track record on large-scale projects, with hybrid work across multiple U.S. offices including Fort Worth, Dearborn, Grand Rapids, and Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• NCARB certification required.
• LEED and WELL preferences for certification.
• Registered Architect with licensure.
• Experience with large, complex projects and BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate large, complex projects and teams.
• Mentor less experienced staff throughout the project.
• Define design parameters: code, site, budget, schedule.
• Plan and lead work plans; ensure CD quality and timely delivery.
• Support PM on schedule/budget; forecast resources and changes.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams; enforce QC procedures.
• Oversee production of schematic to construction documents.
• Prepare release write-ups for addenda and bulletins.
• Perform in-house contract administration duties and RFIs.
• Maintain and improve office standards and tooling.
