Job summary

AECOM is hiring an Experienced Senior Project Architect for our Arlington, VA office in the Buildings + Places practice. The role leads design teams, manages client relationships, and oversees construction documents from schematic design through closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture and RA license required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience delivering construction documents and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to obtain US Government Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution, constructability, and project delivery across the portfolio.
• Direct project coordination, QA/QC, and ensure code compliance from concept to closeout.
• Mentor designers and job captains, coaching on technical development.
• Prepare specifications, reports, and data tables.
• Coordinate inputs from structural, MEP, civil, and landscape consultants.
• Manage RFIs, shop drawings, and field observations to align with contracts.
