Job summary

AECOM is seeking a talented Project Architect for our Cleveland, OH office. You will work with project teams under the direction of the Senior Architect, coordinating with design and engineering professionals on complex infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate holds a BA/BS in Architecture with 4+ years of experience, or equivalency, plus licensure steps toward licensure. Strong design, technical, and communication skills are essential in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Architecture plus four (4) years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Licensed as a registered architect or proven steps toward licensure such as exams completed, preferably in OH.
• Knowledge of buildings systems and material.
• Knowledge of local building codes.
• Ability to produce design intent renderings and design concept diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
• Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
• Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
• Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
• Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments within approved schedules and budgets.
• May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
• May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
• May review and approve conceptual designs.
