Job summary

AECOM seeks a Senior Project Architect to lead teams across Minneapolis, Detroit and Grand Rapids in delivering mid- to large-scale architectural projects. You will guide design from concept through construction, mentor design teams, and interface with clients to ensure schedule and budget compliance.

Strong leadership, communication and BIM/design software fluency are essential. Hybrid work arrangements apply, with a focus on collaboration and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• NAAB-accredited Bachelor of Architecture degree.
• 6+ years of professional architectural design and project delivery experience.
• Licensed Architect in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural leadership on complex projects.
• Lead the development of contract documents through all design phases (SD, DD, CD, CA).
• Prepare architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, and specifications.
• Coordinate quality control reviews of contract documents prior to client issuance.
• Coordinate internal and external disciplines for successful construction outcomes.
• Attend design reviews with clients, project managers and municipal agencies.
• Validate design decisions based on cost analysis and procurement efficiencies.

Education

Bachelor in Architecture (NAAB accredited)

Master’s degree in Architecture

Licensed Architect in the state of practice
